Launch X431 Key Programmer & Remote Maker is a specialized add-on tool designed to work with the Launch X431 series tablets (like the IMMO Elite, IMMO Plus, and PAD V). It transforms your diagnostic scanner into a dedicated key-cutting and remote-cloning station.
Unlike the larger X-PROG 3 (which focuses on deep EEPROM/MCU reading), this tool is built for the "front-end" of key making: identifying chips and generating new remotes.
The device acts as a bridge between a "blank" universal key and the vehicle's specific security protocol.
Read & Generate Transponders: Identifies the chip type in an existing key and can write that data onto a Launch Super Chip.
Remote Generation: Can "burn" specific vehicle software onto a blank Launch universal remote (supports over 60+ brands).
Frequency Detection: Built-in tester to check if a remote is broadcasting at 315MHz, 433MHz, 868MHz, or 902MHz.
Ignition Coil Detection: Helps you troubleshoot if the car's ignition switch is actually sending a signal to the key.
Toyota Smart Key Unlock: Can "virginize" used Toyota smart keys so they can be programmed to a different vehicle.
Launch uses a "universal" hardware system to keep stock costs low for locksmiths:
Super Chip: A single chip that can be programmed to emulate dozens of different transponders (8A, 8C, 8E, 4C, 4D, 4E, 48, 7935, 7936, etc.).
Remote Series:
LS Series: For Nissan-style smart cards.
LN Series: For Peugeot/DS-style wireless remotes.
LE Series: For Volkswagen/Ford-style "Super Remotes" (Kessy/Keyless Entry).

1. Enter the menu [Set type of super chip] to generate.
2. Select the corresponding key chip type and insert the super chip into the anti-theft induction coil.
3. Once successfully generated, it can be used.
